When my Taiwanese labmate saw the National flag of the Taiwan on my laptop’s cover, he asked me: “Why did you stick it up there? But you are Vietnamese!”. “Why not? I am living and studying in Taiwan, and I love this country” - I replied.

Nearly 6 years living and studying in this country has retained much of memories that I'm sure it’s unforgettablein my life.

National Taiwan University is a renowned university of Taiwan. Studying at NTU is the pride of any students, and me too.

I still remember my strange feelings in the early days I just came to Taiwan. I was really impressed by the large campus as well as lovely scenery of NTU.

Main Library is quaint in appearance, but modern equipment, adequate reference books, and is the perfect place for learning and research. Royal Palm boulevard is beautiful and majestic. The bell from the “FU bell” adds to the ancient university of hundred years old. Whenever I need a break, I walked around the Drunken Moon Lake, contemplating the black swan couple happy together. The name of the lake is very beautiful, commensurate with the poetic truth of the scene around it.

The Taiwanese are so kind and friendly. When they knew I was a foreigner, they always give me a priority, a touching thoughtfulness. Besides, I also learnt a lot from the Taiwanese students and other foreign students. They are very intelligent, kind, always willing to help me whenever I need. My advisor - Professor Jyr-Ching HU and other professors in NTU are all very kind. Under his advice, guidance, and encouragement throughout my research process I have got the significant improvement of my research skills.

I enjoyed not only the academic life here, but also the various extra-curricular activities, such as parties, trips, votes, competitions, etc. In addition to good studying environment, Taiwan has many beautiful landscapes, the countryside outside the dynamic capital is filled with an amazing variety of the most beautiful and dramatic tourist spots in Asia. I had opportunities to visit some famous places there such as Ming-Chih Forest Area, Cingjing Veterans Farm with another department in NTU or attended events like Chinese New Year, Sky Lantern Festival, etc. That all made my time in Taiwan become meaningful and unforgettable. I believe all those precious memories will be kept in my heart forever.

Finally, I would like to show my deep gratitude to the respectable Professors, my gracious NTU friends, thank you all for giving me those beautiful memories.
