National Taiwan University (NTU) invites applications for the position of the Dean of the College of Science.
As one of the eleven Colleges in the University, the College of Science currently has seven Departments (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Psychology, Geosciences, Geology, and Atmospheric Science) and four Graduate Institutes (Oceanography, Astrophysics, Applied Physics and Applied Mathematical Sciences). Each Department and Graduate Institute in the College fulfills the dual function of education and research, offering a full range of undergraduate and graduate programs. The College is committed to excellence in teaching, research, and social impact.
It is expected that the Dean candidate have an outstanding record of scientific achievements and be eligible for a senior faculty appointment in one of the Departments and Institutes. He/she should also have demonstrated an effective leadership in an academic environment. Interested candidates should send a curriculum vita with a publication list to the Search Committee by September 12, 2013.
